Founded in 2005, Kaleo-Alohalani Inspirational Services, Inc. ® is a place to find comfort when people are committed to change. Since our inception, our work focuses on providing an array of services to people in need. Through counseling, educating, and consulting with individuals, full mental, spiritual, and physical potential is within reach.

Our philosophy is that positive thinking can enhance lives when overwhelmed with altering life challenges. Our mission: "The Pathway to Change" Mentoring the Mind.

The Founder and CEO, Layla, is a Doctoral candidate, specializing in Health and Psychology. She has a Master's of Counseling degree in Marriage and Family Therapy, a Bachelor of Science degree in Human Services, with an Associate degree in Nursing Assistant.

Layla established her expertise through her lived experiences; from being a domestic violence survivor for more than 20 plus years; from her broad employment history during her tenure with the Department of Defense; and from her wide-ranging academic career.

To initiate positive social change, Layla's passion for offering her attention to the public has grown tremendously. Stemming from her own multi-ethnic background, she inspires to aid individuals who are deeming less fortunate in different areas-nationally and internationally. She is acclimated to diverse cultures and customs in various regions of the world. Her clients receive the highest level of service through guidance on redefining their life style. Through innovative techniques her clients find harmony in person-to-person relationships. Resulting from her enthusiasm they realign their inner being with external objectives to match their personal goals. Layla enjoys mentoring and observing how well her clients find answers to unresolved questions. She takes great pleasure in noticing how their inspirations change to magnify their greatest achievement possible.

Layla has over 20 years of experience in Administration and Development. Her history of working with individuals and families extend beyond 12 years of helping people mend and bridge the gaps in their life. In an effort to promote positive social changes in her community, for over 10 years, she maintains a Therapeutic Foster Care license to work with adolescents whose life has been disrupted by various family problems. She devotes time to adolescents whose needs are categorized as having mental health issues and developmental disabilities. These services include, but are not limited to helping young adults transition from Foster Care to independent living; educating residents on coping and anger management skills; improving self-esteem, developing decision making skills, enhancing communication skills and redefining their spiritual needs. Additionally, Layla trains teens on parenting skills, nurturing skills, and continuum of education.

For individuals who suffer from chemical dependency/abuse and people who are diagnose as having mental health concerns; for over 8 years, Layla has helped adults in crisis and assisted adults with maintaining sobriety. As well as, she supported individuals with a history of substance abuse in a residential treatment facility for 5 years. Her extensive experience in counseling is also contributed to working with people that have other behavioral or psychiatric diagnosis.

Layla has an impeccable employment history. She earned and held high ranking positions while employed, for 20 years with the Federal Government, Department of Defense. She managed a Personnel Division. She supervised, trained, and counseled over 1000 military personnel. Through her efforts the evaluation program had a 20% increase in the evaluation and submission rate on military soldiers. Other positions earned during her tenure were a Budget and Assistant Budget Analyst. She was the Manager of an operations budget in excess of 4 million dollars; resulting in an error-free balancing in automated accounting system. She supervised for over 8 years the Finance and Payroll Department as well.

Performance in other areas are demonstrated in her keen ability to work with multiple ethnic groups, to conduct screenings, intakes, orientations, assessments; facilitating chemical education classes and group sessions; client education, case management, counseling, and preparing treatment plans.

Overall, Layla's major areas of expertise is in Substance Abuse Counseling and Marriage and Family Counseling; Human Services, Corporate Management, Business Administration, and Financial Management.

Her specialized trainings are in the areas of Individual, Couples and Family Counseling; Substance Dependency/Abuse Counseling; Consultancy; Education; Group Facilitation, Professional Ethics, Sexually Transmitted Diseases, to include HIV/AIDS; and Confidentially to include 42 CFR, Part 2.
